One surrounded by bad forecasts and a general sense of doom. That’s all I could envision when I first checked out the starting sentence. I can simply imagine that this book will have lots of experience and possibly misery on a journey that the main character will be on.
I expect a great deal of twists, turns, and barriers that every great book need to have. Very first sentences are essential and can be the star of the book if composed correctly. They can make the book stand out and shine, similar to a diamond ring. It can establish the whole book and choose whether your audience is going to continue to read your story.
