Mobile Technology Introduction The telecommunications sector has advanced widely over the years due to innovation activities and introduction of information technology. This evolution from the traditional means of communications such as the use of letters and messengers has led to the current use of mobile gadgets. These have transformed the communication system by easy relay of information, speedy communications and promotion of channels of communication. The mobile technology is not new to us and has transformed largely over the years. The increased rate of technological changes and growth in the telecommunication industry has fuelled the developers desire to come up with new mobile technologies and also posed a challenge for these developers to come up with smart phones which conform to these changes. This papers looks at the newest mobile technology applications in relations to the old ones and the need to come up with better advancements to meet the growing market demands of innovation. Literature review The main producers of mobile technologies such as Apple, Nokia, Samsung among others are continuously competing to come up with unique features in the mobile gadgets which will not only meet the preferences of the consumers, but also enables easy and improved communication means. Over the years, the mobile sector has seen different transformations from simple wireless gadgets to complex networking elements within the Google setup to ensure that various operations by different consumers are possible (Shorey, 2006). The promotion of the smart phones in the era has enhanced transmission of data where linkages with emails, social media and Google have transformed research and development. Nearly, most of the population in the world an receive news updates online as well as be able to access data and information correctly be it from news anchors, social media, Google or other service providers. Newest mobile technology applications Among the various systems available, the market share of smart phones is changing rapidly with most developers coming up with new features in the mobile applications. Until recently, the iPhone iOS, was leading in the mobile market but Google Android has since then overtaken due to the openness of the platform and Google brand power (Mennecke, 2002). There are various hardware manufactures that are producing mobile devices as there are several emerging mobile platforms. Other operating systems present in the mobile sector are Blackberry RIM OS and Windows 8. The developers of mobile technologies and clients have to choose between native applications and web applications in determining how to integrate a certain mobile technology into an already established business model. In reference to mobile, it is not only the gadgets or phone handsets that are considered. It also includes ranges of other popular devices such as tablet computers, lightweight laptops and smart phones. These are advances in the mobile technologies whose operating systems differ and include use of high megapixels in cameras. Mobile technology applications, be it native applications of web applications, has enhanced the mobile web browsing at different speeds. With the introduction of the 4G speed, the mobile web browsing has changed dramatically. Mobile devices have to be equipped with efficient applications so as to adopt some characteristics of web and native applications (Shorey, 2006). Software developers in the mobile market segment need to consider the pace of change, need for lightweight applications and relevance of the applications when designing mobile technological applications. The newest mobile technological applications are useful for liberalizing data in enterprises, accelerating important business processes, speeding decision making and quality consumer engagement. Mobile applications development and platforms Development of applications involves coming up with software for handheld services which are installed in phones during manufacturing of can be downloaded by consumers from different mobile software distribution platforms. As a result of the changes in the platforms and competition within the mobile software, developers have to consider screen sizes, hardware specifications and configurations. New technologies in mobile platforms entail the incorporation of an integrated development environment where developers can be able to write, test of deploy applications in the platform with the available tools. For instance in the latest android platform, there is Java as the programming language, emulators, debuggers and the installer packaging options relate to apk. Data analysis Mobile technology applications have been growing steadily in relation to the jobs created and the revenue produced. A report produced in 2014estimates that 529000 jobs have been created in Europe from direct mobile applications economy, where 60% of this are mobile applications developers. Growth in the mobile sector is rising presently with the incorporation of laptops and tablets in one gadget such that one can be able to convert a tablet to a mini laptop for better usage (Mennecke, 2002). The mobile app was the original non-web platform to be introduced to Google. In July 2013, the rate of user who installed and launched the app rose by 60%. The image relates to the number of users with the various platforms that were registered with the introduction of the mobile technology applications (Bhowmik, 2008). Most of the Android users relate to 4.0 or higher version, which means that a better version needs to be developed and dropping any version below Android4.0 would affect few users. Conclusion In conclusion, technological developments in the mobile sector are inevitable and the demand of new advancements in the telecommunications industry is continuously rising. The mobile developers relating to both software and hardware have a big role to play to meet the growing demand. Research and development has played a big role in these advancements. New technologies are not only essential due to their speed, but also because they promote growth in other sectors of the economy. The mobile technological applications enhancements play an important role in productivity. With the rate of growth witnessed in developing these apps in the competitive industry, mobiles will soon overtake the use of computers based on the availability and efficiency of applications and tools in the innovated products.
