Power and Corruption in George Orwell’s Animal Farm
As we know power is the capability to produce change. It takes lots of kinds, comes from numerous places and is measured in lots of ways. Likewise power is often defined as the capacity to influence others behavior, to get others to do what oppositions want. Looking for power over others means always having to be watchful, defensive and reactive. However does this mean that people can be changed by power, even though their intentions are excellent?
In the book “Animal Farm.” power is getting in the wrong instructions and the author explains how people can end up being actually obsessed with power despite the fact that they attempt to do it for good intents. Power makes the majority of individuals become more focused on their own needs and wants. It alters people to end up being less concentrated on what other’s requirement. What do we all learn about having power? As a matter of fact we understand absolutely nothing. Most of us consider power like something substantial or the capability to influence the habits of people and some others consider power as the capability to affect others and have them under control.
Most of political leaders have power but do they use it in a good intent. In fact no, the majority of the time they get blind by power, cash and they can’t find out the damage they’re doing around them. And in the other way around community or we (the people) do refrain from doing anything to make sure that they’re not playing us around in the way they feel more comfy.
So by doing that we lose a lot, sometimes we lose our own liberty. How you would ask?By having someone else to choose for your life or the method you must live your life. Why would you let federal government decide for you when we (the community) can choose for the federal government. In reality everyone together is government without us power would not even exist. So you have the power to end up being the best you can be. The power to be able to satisfy your own hopes and dreams for today and the future. Collectivism takes power and freedom away from the people and provides it to the Federal government.
To make everybody what they call equivalent they need to bring everybody down to the most affordable common denominator so no one seems better or brighter than anybody else too dumb down society, to make everybody, or at least the bulk depending on Federal government so they will have to look after them. The only equality we can hope in a totally free society is equal justice under the law and equal laws for every specific no matter what race or where they originate from. So if we let federal government tell us and make us think their propaganda and whateverthey will inform us we will never be complimentary. We can’t forget that power corrupts bad or good that person is.
They all are blind and corrupted by power, they can’t see beyond power and what our requirements might be. We need to be permanently vigilant to stay complimentary and be forever totally free. However why at the end their great intents end up as bad objectives for the neighborhood? In my conclusion I believe that each people struggles with this disease called ‘power,” since once you are in it, whatever looks different, however we need to understand that power will not make us happy if we do not utilize it in the right way and for the ideal purpose, a great deal of damage will be going on and a lot of dissatisfaction will come by people if we do not do the right option for them.
So think twice and act once.
