In the fight and quest of perceived human rights poetry is a clarion call to equality, hope, opportunity, peace, and compassion for everyone. Poetry forms an insightful counterbalance to achieve the merits of democracy and justice in a peaceful balance measure.

Philosopher George Santayana talks of poetry as “metrical discourse” on an art titled “The Elements and Function of Poetry.” It forms a basis for an individual view on the role of poetry in societal issues. Evaluation of the role played by poets in the community, for sure, is a theme of discussion and an open mind. Though, poetry is a discrete legendary formula.
